I remember fondly as a child having a slush maker in the shape of a man, I loved it but my mother hated it. It had too many fiddly bits, and made too much of a mess. Growing up  I still indulged in a Slush drink when on holiday, but the price of them is always quite high considering most of it is just water frozen.

So when the ChillFactor slushy maker popped through my door, I couldn’t wait to show the children how to make slush drinks.

Included in the box is the cup, a lid and a spoon. It is all really simple, all you do is pop the cup in the freeze until frozen. There is no filling required at all. Then remove the cup, add your drink, put the lid on and squeeze! Before your own eyes, a slushy drink appears!

The great thing with this, is that you can choose what drink you put inside. The syrups used in slush drinks you can buy from shops is full of sugar and colours, and it’s not something I would want my little people to drink often. But with this, you can use fruit juices, a much healthier option for an icy treat on a hot day.

They are available in four colours, Blue, Red, Green and Yellow, and all have a matching colour spoon which also handily doubles up a spoon!

Cleaning is really simple, you simply unscrew the cup and take the middle part out. There is great instructions included on how to assemble and disassemble your cup, just in case you get stuck, but we found it really easy and straight forward to do.

We were sent the ChillFactor cup for the purpose of this review, all thoughts are my own.
