When I last went round my sisters I noticed a map on her fridge of the world, it had various pins and stickers stuck on it. I asked what they were for, and she explained to me how it’s all the places she has either visited, or wants to visit in the future. It got me thinking, as I have never really thought past my next holiday choice

Having children at 18 years old, travelling around the world was never an option for me and I never contemplated more than jetting off somewhere for a family holiday for any more than 2 weeks.
I do love thinking about where to travel to on our family adventures. I love the sun, and for me a holiday isn’t a holiday without sun, cocktails and the beach! Somewhere like the Maldives. But my hubby hates the heat and his perfect holiday would be somewhere with snow and ice, think skiing, but without the sports. He isn’t very sporty, so something like visiting the Ice Hotel would suit him down to the ground! We watched a program on the building of it, and the work that has gone into creating it is something special, more so than standard bricks and mortar.
For the kids however, there is nowhere like the attraction that Disneyworld Florida offers, they have seen many adverts with Mickey Mouse and all his tribe in full force. For a child, it is a dream holiday. So that one has a big sticker on it, but I want them all to be old enough to enjoy it, and most of all remember it before we jet off there….that should give me a few years to save the pennies!
Where would your perfect holiday destination be? Hot or cold? Maybe you are brave and would contemplate safari?
An ice hotel would be a brilliant holiday for me as well. Always fancied it, as long as I had the money for all the proper clothes to go with. I hate the heat and the sun.
I do wonder how warm it would be though!
