I’m always ALWAYS on the look out for something fun that will keep the kids amused for more than 5 minutes that doesn’t include screen time. So when two items from Spinmaster turned up, they saved the day (well, turned out to be a few days! )Included was the Go Glam Nail Stamper and a fab looking Meccano dinosaur set.

Go Glam Nail stamper

Included in this set is everything you need, which is great as it means no having to shop for extra bits, or hunting the house for things you need. There is two colour nail polish bottles included, a bright blue and a purple. There is nail file attached to the super cute bag, which is plenty big enough to store everything inside.

There is also a clear top coat polish for after you have stamped your nails. It is SO easy to do, just paint on the colour you fancy, chose your stamper design, click the cartridge in the back, then put your finger in the stamper, and push once, hold for a second, let go and remove your finger, there you have a super cute design that would take absolutely hours by hand to attempt to paint.

I adore the designs, cute hearts, unicorns, cupcakes, flamingos and even cute kittys. It was really easy to use, with children needing minimal adult help. The age recommendation is 8+.

Dinosaur Meccano

The Meccano box looked really easy from the outside, and I wasn’t sure how much it would grasp my 10 year old’s attention, but included with the set is instructions for 3 different dinosaurs. You get enough pieces to make one of them at any given time, there is 179 pieces and 2 tools.

Starting off with the dinosaur of choice, I soon realised this would test my son brilliantly. It required concentration and fine motor skills. It was a great challenge for him, and he was really pleased with himself when he finished it. I loved how it taught him to use actual nuts and bolts, a life skill right there.

But perseverance is a wonderful thing, and Mark was ecstatic at his creation!

We were sent the products mentioned for the purpose of this review, all thoughts are my own.
