Our first ever LEGO sets (purchased over 10 years ago for my now 14 year old!) were from the vast CITY range, and we absolutely adore it still to this day. The 14 year old still loves it, but now my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter are huge fans too, which shows how there really is something for everyone with LEGO. What makes the CITY range so amazing is the fact it takes on the everyday life that we surround ourselves in, this really makes the whole thing come to life before your eyes and sparks the imagination. Included in the range is everything you might find in the CITY, from Police to Fire departments and so much more, the range is vast.
We have been sent some products from the new range, and Mark has been testing them out to the max!
The Pizza Van 60150 is my utter favourite!
It comes included with a pizza delivery scooter, minifigure pizza chef, minifigure girl, table and umbrella and even mini pizzas, pizza slices and pizza boxes! Everything about this set just makes it the perfect addition to the range. The truck has free-rolling wheels, for cruising around town. I love how everything is like-life. It has seats in the front for the driver, and the hatch on the back opens and closes so you can rock up and serve up your very own pizzas. Just check out the detail… RRP is just £14.99, this makes the perfect addition for any LEGO fan.
Fishing Boat 60147. Now we are not huge boat fans in general, but this is the perfect addition for something different. It has a really detailed boat, including propellers on the back.
The great thing is all the accessories that come with it, there is fishing rod so you can get your minifigures to fish, and the fish and shark come included too. Mark adores making his very own scenes with the shark. You get a girl minifigure and boy minifigure too, appropriately dressed with their life jackets of course, you can never be too safe. I adore this set, it has so much scope for something really different to our usual role play, and Mark is loving ‘fishing’ and even creating some shark attacks too! It has created hours of fun, both building it and then playing too. RRP is £17.99, a real bargain.
Finally, the High-speed chase 60138. This set is the largest one we have been sent, but the RRP is just £24.99. For this price though, you get so much included. There is a Police helicopter, Police car and a sports car. This is great for acting out all those Police scenes. You get four minifigures included, this is made up of one pilot, one police officer, one crook and an exclusive minifigure called Chase McCain who is the perfect cop for making those arrests.
The helicopter has some great features, it has wheels that roll and rotors that spin, and there is even a working winch too so you can lower Chase McCain down. The police car and sports car both have free rolling wheels, and have space for drivers inside. Don’t forget the cash and gold bars, both come included and really add that little extra special detail to the set.
You really do get so much in this set, it has provided hours and hours of fun. All of these sets are from the City range, and being from LEGO means the world is your oyster when it comes to imagination, you can make them however you want for the adventures you want to create.
