If your toddler is anything like mine, then they are keen to get in on the action in the kitchen. So what better way to keep them amused while you go about your day to day tasks, than to get them their very own appliances which look just like yours, only smaller!
We were sent the Casdon Morphy Richards kitchen set to review. Included in this is a Microwave, Kettle and Toaster. The Microwave needs batteries, 3 x aa which are secured in the back with a screw, so make sure you have the usual philips screwdriver to hand. Of course you could still use the microwave without batteries, as the door still opens and the inside turntable you can turn manually. But if you add batteries, it really brings the toy to life!
Firstly those touchscreen buttons actually beep, and then the start button does exactly that, the light inside comes on and the turntable moves around and it hums just like the real thing! Then when its finished it pings, an actual microwave ping!
The toaster comes complete with two pieces of toast, and when you press the lever down to ‘cook’ your toast, it actually pops up a short while later….my daughter adored this! The kettle comes complete with a lid, that you can take off for your imaginary filling.
The great thing that stood out to me with this set, is how robust and well made they are. They are really good quality, and will out last even the most boisterous child! The set retails at around £30 and can be purchased online here.
