Yes, the much loved Hungry Caterpillar is 45 years old…the much loved book has been delighting children for all those years and his magic is still clear to see when me and my children read the iconic book.
But it is no longer a book, there is a whole host of goodies which delight fans, young and old. We were sent a selection to try out, and they have been gratefully received by very own little hungry caterpillars.
Pop Up Book. More interactive than your average book, this expands and is a real delight for kids to read! It costs £5.99 and is available from Amazon and all good bookshops.
For the younger fans, this Cloth Book is perfect. It is amazing quality, and has lots of textures for little fingers to explore. The RRP is £9.99 and is available from all good bookshops, and Amazon.
There is also arts and crafts stuff too, these Strawberry shaped chalks are big and really easy for little hands to hold and use. The colours are great. These are available from John Lewis and have an RRP of £9.99. There is also a Stamper Kit, which comes with 6 themed stamps and two ink pads. Hours of fun for little ones (and big ones!) again, these are available from John Lewis and have an RRP of £9.95.
For dinner times, the Hungry Caterpillar Melamine sectioned plate is fabulous! We adore these plates, they are great for creative mealtimes, and my son won’t eat on anything else now! He especially adores the small hole for the all important ketchup. They have an RRP of £7.95, and are worth every penny! For on the go, the Water Bottle is great. It has a sports style top, but you can twist it to open and close the valve. It is larger than your average bottle, this is Mark’s school water bottle and he loves it.
