My four year old son is massive Dinosaur fan, along with his 1 year old sister. Every night before bed, he picks a book off his special little shelf from his bunk bed….and lately that book has been ‘Three Little Dinosaurs Egg Rescue’.
The book is written by Charles Fuge and is illustrated by him too, it wasn’t a name I am familiar with previously, but the illustrations are super cute which is always a winner when picking a book (Yeah, I know…never judge a book by it’s cover…but we all do!) Opening it up, the story follows the life of a cute dinosaur called Scratch who has to look after his mums egg. Sounds simple? Not quite as they go on quite an adventure, including chasing a mammal, a boat ride on the river and even a waterfall, phew. But fear not, this story has a happy ending which always leaves my four year old with a big smile on his face.
It’s a brilliant book, that is perfect for bedtime. It keeps my little ones engaged and I don’t mind reading it night after night, after night…A good job!
