Wimbledon season is in full swing, and you can hardly miss it. I remember as a child sitting in front of the TV, watching the players hit the ball with all their might and even making the amusing sound effects too. It is a tradition that this year I am sharing with my children.
I headed out with 10 year old Jordan to buy some snacks for us to watch while we watched the tennis, as a family we love Coca Cola so it was a natural choice to make. We also bought a tennis set, and a catch set.
You can see all other pictures from our shop here.
Now I know you health types may be having a slight fit at the thought of drinking coke, but just spend a few minutes looking at the Coca Cola Work it out calculator, a standard 330ml can of Coca Cola has just 139 calories which you can burn off with just 21 minutes of Tennis! It is important to me that my whole family are healthy and fit. The children are taught at school how to make healthy choices, and this is something I follow through at home. I teach the children that treats are OK, as long as you lead an active life, then a little treat does not matter.
So after watching Wimbledon, the kids were inspired to become players too. Marky was the perfect ball boy!
What else is fantastic about Wimbledon? Strawberries and cream of course!
We has a fabulous Wimbledon treat, and I am sure it will be a tradition we keep up over the years. Do you watch Wimbledon?
Do you know, I’m really disappointed with myself this year. I thought working from home might mean I caught the chance to watch a bit of tennis during the day but no such luck! Come the evening, if I suggest watching the tennis I just get groaned at!
I have managed to see about ten minutes of Wimbledon this year without interruption! I’ve had plenty of berries though 😉 I miss swingball!
I love the Coca Cola Work it out calculator and I found it surprising that a 21 minute walk has the same effect as jogging. Walk for me any day of the week 😉
I love a spot of Wimbledon whilst the kids are at school- I have it on in the background whilst I’m on the laptop!
I love watching Wimbledon but missed it this year, Looks like you had a wonderful day though!
