Staying in is the new going out, that is a fact. Long gone are the days when a fun night involved getting dressed up to hit the town, now it’s all about chucking your pj’s on, grabbing a bottle of wine and having a giggle with the girls.
My ideal night is exactly that, however I would make it a onesie party! The tipples on offer would of course be cocktails, mainly woowoo’s and cosmopolitans, as well as some more ellaborate creations involving Monster Energy Drink. Spicy sambuca and Monster is pretty lush, mix with lemonade and a shot of vodka, and you have a rather lovely cocktail which means you won’t be falling asleep in the corner at 9pm! As for food, nibbles are mandatory, tortilla chips, peanuts, crisps…but a takeaway is my choice. Anything from a pizza, to an indian takeaway, food is good and helps soak up the alcohol too!
So what about entertainment? Some good old fashioned favourites such as Pictionary and charades is good fun, but also sometimes it’s great to do something online and Free online bingo from Ladbrokes is great for getting the girls together. It is speedy and fun, and the best thing is it’s free! You don’t need to be a computer buff either, even my mum played it without a problem, and she normally has problem even accessing her emails.
Finishing off the night, there is nothing better than a girly gossip on the sofa. Moaning about the men in our lives, putting the world to rights, it makes you feel better having your girls around for company. What more could you possibly want?
