I love my bed, and I love my sleep. Together they provide me with happiness. However with a newborn baby, I find myself loving sleep even more than ever, purely because at the moment I just don’t see as much of bed as I would like!
Just this winter I discovered the joys of a heated blanket. Why has no one told me about these wonderful creations before??? All those time I have shivered in bed, and stayed plastered in the same spot knowing that if I moved just an inch I would get a cold spot. Moving to the countryside in an old drafty house has been a big shock from my warm insulated new build house, so a heated blanket in my opinion is a complete necessity not a luxury.
When I do get to see my bed, or get the opportunity to lay in bed for longer than ten minutes, I sleep on my side. It’s always the same side, and in fact I look rather much like the ‘Foetus’ shown below in the infographic that ibis has compiled. 41% of people also take this position, so I am far from alone! However, I can’t say I would go to the fridge to munch on some lettuce when I am suffering from insomnia…I am most definitely more of a warm milk kinda gal! (and cookies, you can’t have milk without cookies…)
I am most certainly the log or freefall, but always on my side….and almonds! I try to snack on a few almonds at night!
I am more like a cross between a yearner and freefall
