Wild Science have a range of kits out for both boys and girls, and we were happy to receive the Erupting Volcano Crater Factory.
My son J is 10 and loves science. He loves seeing how things happen, and due to his autism it actually helps him understand things a bit easier, as with an explanation as to why something happens is often a very positive thing for him.
If you are looking for something to amuse your children this winter then this is the perfect kit! Included inside the box is everything you need to conduct experiments, this includes Volcanic Bombs, colour morphing pools with two working craters! There is everything for safety too, from gloves to the very cool science goggles which my son is sure he means he is the Crazy Scientist!
The leaflet book included is 16 pages long, and full of useful information, from safety tips for children and adults, and step by step guides on how to conduct the different experiments There is illustrations backed up with writing to support it, and there is handy hints included along the way. There is also ‘Did you know?’ points which has a wealth of knowledge for information thirsty children, and to be honest I think my husband learnt a few things too!
The set is brilliant fun, it has an age range of 10+ on it, which I think it suitable. But I do think 8 and 9 year old’s would enjoy it too with adult supervision. This would be a brilliant set for school holidays.
