On Thursdsay I went into London and met up with a few friends for the Gurgle Blog Awards. There was loads of wine flowing, although only half a small glass for me as I had drove to the train station. The night was fantastic and I didn’t get home til gone 11! 11 I say, like it’s late, well it is for me!! I am normally tucked in bed asleep at 11pm!! Whatever happened to my younger days when we only went out at 11pm?! It’s shocking to see how our lifes change as we become parents.
On Friday, I woke up feeling like I had a hangover. I didn’t, it was just pure tiredness, I had 4 hours sleep and had to get up to get the kids packed off to school and get me and my youngest ready for another trip to London. I felt ‘iffy’ all day, and it resulted into a full blown migrane on the way home where I was trying my hardest not to be sick on the train! Luckily for me, Mark is an absolute gem of a child, and fell asleep, and even stayed like it even after I had popped him into the car! I got home and took as many pills as I could get away with, without overdosing. I planned on an early night, but rolled into bed quite late yet again after catching a glimpse of Big Brother, yes I am a sad case who actually enjoys watching that tat, there I said it.
Saturday we woke up early to get ready to take the whole family to London Zoo. Well that, and Jordan decided that 5.30am was the perfect time to empty the LEGO box.
Off to London we all went, and met up with my sister, brother in law, and my mum. It was a fantastic day but involved LOTS of walking which resulted in 2 very painful blisters for me, so if you see me wearing flip-flops over the next few days, even in the rain, its not because I am trying to convince myself its summer, its because I can’t actually wear anything else without pain! When we got home I was well and truly tired, as were the kiddies.
I popped to the local shop to pick up some milk, and not only did it take me 3 attempts to get out of the house after forgetting my car keys, then my purse, then my car keys again as I had put them down to find my purse, but once I had got home from actually getting the milk, I left it in the car and didn’t realise until I got inside the house and went to the fridge to get it out….
The kids were absolute gems, and slept like a dream last night!! Me and Hubby found ourselves in bed at 9pm snoring our head off. Yes that’s right, 9pm on a Saturday night, rock and roll!
I was lucky enough to sleep right through to 7.30am this morning, the kids even stayed asleep too! No LEGO box got emptied this morning, which was refreshing for a change. Yet today, I still feel tired! Is it the late night from Thursday catching up on me still?! It’s not like I can even say it’s because of alcohol!
It has been a great couple of days, but I can’t see it happening again soon all in such a short period of time, I don’t think my body could cope!!
When did I become old and think that 11pm at night is late???
