Lets Rock Elmo is a very clever interactive toy, Elmo reconises the different instruments that come included with him.
Elmo asks for a certain instrument, and reconises when you give them to him. I have found this a great learning aid for all 3 of my kids, especially Mark as he is just 18 months old. He has learnt which instrument is the tambourine, which is the drums, and which is the microphone. Mark has also learnt what these instruments are for, and loves copying Elmo. The instruments are perfectly sized for kiddies to play along.
Elmo has loads of different phrases aswell as 6 songs built into him, so this is a toy that won’t bug you with the same phrase or song over and over again!
Elmo is suitable for 18 months plus, and although Mark is the lower age of the age bracket being 18 months, he has learnt a great deal from Elmo, and I think will continue to do so.
Here is a little video showing you a few of Elmo’s songs
Elmo has a button on his right foot, hidden underneath his red fur, that you press to change to a different mode or song. There is also the all important OFF switch on the underneath of his foot. Although Mark has learnt where this is, and can turn him on all by himself!
There is hours of fun to be had with Lets Rock Elmo. You can even buy the additional instruments which include a keyboard, a bigger microphone, and a guitar. This is set to be a top toy for christmas, and will keep adults and children amused!

>Hi! We just bought Let's rock elmo just almost a week ago and we noticed that there are times wherein Elmo stops moving/singing at the middle of the song. Is this normal or Elmo isn't supposed to stop like this? Thanks a lot for your inputs! Have a wonderful day!
>Our doesn't stop mid song, maybe your batteries are low? 🙂
>Hi Danielle, thanks for your inputs. The batteries we used are new but it still stops at the middle of the song so we decided yesterday to have Elmo replaced with a new one. Luckily it was still within the replacement period. Now it is working fine and not stopping anymore. We suspect it is a factory or manufacturer's defect.
>my elmo rocks does the same thing! I need to exchange it for another. Did you exchange it at the store you bought it from or did you go through the manufacturer?
>i also need to know how you replaced it. Ours stop working completely.
>Since its still under replacement warranty, I just brought the item to the store where I bought it and then they tested it and found out for themselves that indeed there was a defect, so right away they replaced it. I also showed them the original receipt.
>Thanks Jeff. I have seen the same thing on ours too. I believe the problem is when you press the button on its foot, it starts a timer of around 45 secs and it stops when then timer ends. I believe the timer should be reset when you press the button but it doesn't, so I agree it's a manufacturing defect. It seems like this is a pretty common problem.
We got our Elmo last year for Christmas. We have already sent the original one back for stopping in the middle of a song. The new one is now doing it too. Bummer my daughter really loves her Elmo and I feel like I will have to be replacing it every couple of months :(.
Our rock and roll Elmo instruments were lost at a play date! Where can I buy just all the instruments!?
