Introducing you to…

The Bear range includes….
YoYo’s! These are aimed at children, although much to my childrens annoyance, my husband has taken a shine to these too. Each pack has 2 fruit rolls inside as well as a collectable card with nature facts and different characters on. There is 75 to collect, so your child won’t be getting the same repetitive facts all the time.

Fruit nibbles! These are 100% softly baked fruit pieces. They have no added ingredients, no sugar, no fat, absolutely nothing! The whole bag is under 100 calories, amazing considering it is a large bag. The fruit pieces are also 1 of your recommended 5 a day! Best of all they taste delicious. I have found these amazingly useful for when I am at work in the office. Normally I would be reaching for biscuits then cursing when my trousers don’d do up in the morning, but with the Bear fruit nibbles I can snack on something healthly and tasty!

Granola Nibbles! These are my favourite! They are 100% whole grains and fruit baked into crunchy granola nibbles. Yet again, there is no added ingredients and the whole bag is under 100 calories. The nibbles also provide one of the recommened 3 wholegrains a day. I love these for work too, but I also love sprinkling them over a yoghurt, mmmmmm!

The YoYos…
These were instantly recongised by my son as being like ‘fruit winders’, something I do not allow him to very often due to the ingredients. But with the Bear YoYos, I have the knowledge that it is 100% fruit with nothing else added. So will happily let him eat these for a snack.
I used 4 different children to be my tiny taste testers. One of the testers is 7 year old Sarah-Jane who is a coeliac. Coeliac desiease means she cannot have anything with gluten in. Finding snacks for her is not always an easy task so Sarah-Janes mum was delighted that the packaging was so clear, she said they are great for popping in Sarah-Janes bag for when she is out and about. 8 year old Leanne loved the fact cards that are enclosed and was keen to see what other interesting facts were in the other packets! Leanne also said that they taste better than ‘fruit winders’. Jordan who is 8 loved them and said they tasted really yummy. Brooke who is 6 was keen to have them in her lunchbox!

I was kindly sent some fantastic recipes from Bear and as a keen baker, I just had to try one out!
Straw-beary Heart Scones
Ingredients
250g Self raising flour, 4 tbsp of honey, 60g of butter, 3 yoyos (6 rolls), pinch of salt, and 150ml of milk.

Preheat your oven to 180oC. Place your flour, honey and salt in a bowl then rub in your butter.
Chop up the Yoyos into small bits and mix in.

Stir in the milk to make a dough. Grease a baking sheet. Lightly flour a surface then roll your dough out to about three quarters of an inch thick.
With a heart shaped cutter, or other shapes if you prefer, cut out the shapes. Place onto the sheet and brush with a little milk.
Bake for upto 20 minutes until golden brown. Unfortunatly they were so nice, that there is no after picture as they were all eaten before I got a chance to take any pics! All I have left is an empty tin!!

This was a great recipe and I can’t wait to give some more a test!
