If there is one thing that children love, it’s getting messy. My children, like many others seem to be dirt magnets. Everyday they come home from nursery and school with all manner of stains, with everything from mud to baked beans, with some stains that are probably best not knowing the origin of. Team that with a mechanic husband who seems to enjoy rolling around under a car with a spanner in one hand and a burger in the other. Together they leave me with a pile of dirty washing that makes me shudder at the mere sight.
However there is a solution for stain removal. Vanish has a wealth of products and knowledge with a solution for every stain. The worst stains I have found on my families clothes have to be spaghetti sauce, blood and powder paint from school. The best way I have found how to remove blood stains from clothes is to use the Oxi Action Powder. Again with the dried in sauce stains, a soak in water and then a scoop of vanish in the machine is enough to lift the stain out completely. Honestly, the powder is amazing, a scoop full of that stuff beats any of my scrubbing or even my mothers solution of popping the item of clothing into a saucepan of boiling water on the stove!
For school shirts and socks, the Oxi Action Crystal White powder is just as good as the original Oxi Action Powder, however it stops that manky grey tinge that happens with white shirts. Although I will admit that I make sure I buy good quality school shirts for the kids, I have had other parents ask me how much I spend on shirts, as they thought that I replace them so frequently as they are so white. The truth is that I buy one set of decent shirts and use Vanish Crystal White to keep them looking bright as new. I guarantee it saves more money buying the Vanish and decent shirts, than it is to keep replacing the cheap shirts frequently.
