Having a comfortable nights sleep is something that affects your whole life. Did you know that for every 75 years you live, you are asleep for 25? I could bang on for ages about why is so important, not just for your physical health but also your mental health too. I know for parents these figures won’t quite be accurate, as a mum to four children I am well aware that my sleep was massively hindered as soon as I fell pregnant. Trying to find a comfortable sleeping position while carrying a 10lb baby was hard, and I am wishing I had a better mattress back then!
I’ve slept on many mattresses in my lifetime, from the ones with the really pokey springs, to the ones that you sink into and struggle to physically get out of as there is just no support for you at all. Then there’s the awful beds i’ve encountered on holiday, one of which made me leave early to go home. A comfortable nights sleep really does make you feel a million times better.
So when Leesa got in touch with me to ask if I would like to test out one of their mattresses, I was at first a little apprehensive. My reason being that I’ve always thought a mattress was something you needed to test out before investing in, so to receive one through the post can be daunting. But Leesa have a 100 nights sleep guarantee, if you don’t like it you can send it back, nothing to lose!
So my Leesa mattress turned up, shrink wrapped into a small box as tall as my 5 year old daughter. The instructions said to take it to the bed before opening it, so that’s exactly what I done. Unwrapping it, it puffed out quickly, and all wrinkles disappeared within minutes, it’s like magic.
My first night on my Leesa mattress was like being on a supportive cloud, it hugged me, but supported every inch of my body. It has three foam layers, which are supposed to adapt to any shape, well it didn’t put pressure on the larger parts of my body (there’s a fair few of them!) as the foam moulds around you. I honestly would not get rid of this if you begged me. All of my children have requested a sleep over in my room, which is the only bad point as I savoured having my bed to myself!!
Huge thanks to Leesa for letting me try a mattress out, we love it!
