What’s better than a unicorn? A unicorn that can poop a rainbow of course! And what’s better than a rainbow pooping unicorn? Edible rainbow poop! That’s exactly what Unicone can do, it is a super cute unicorn that you use real icing to create some special edible rainbow swirls.
Last week we got our hands on a Unicone, and couldn’t wait to get started. In the box is everything you need, except icing (it does have handy instructions so you can make your own icing, but I am the pinnacle of lazy parenting and buy ready made icing in a tube).
To put the Unicone together, you just simply click the Unicorn together, adding the blue base each side and then the clouds. Once complete you are ready to fill your syringe with icing. As mentioned I used ready made icing tubes, which meant I could just squeeze the icing into the syringe, alternatively you could make your own icing using the sectioned bowl provided to have different colours. Then just fill your syringe and insert in the top of the unicorn.
Included in the set is plastic cones so you can just pop one in the cone holder underneath and squeeze your rainbow icing into them, then use one of the spoons included to eat it.
But never one to stick to the rules, we decided to use it to decorate cupcakes. It works in exactly the same way, pop the cake underneath and press the plunger down, and it comes out in a lovely swirl.
Then once it’s done you could even add sprinkles, the horn of the unicorn comes off and is actually a sprinkle holder (sprinkles not included).
I love that there doesn’t need any batteries for this to work, it’s just a case of having some icing. I also love that once you have filled the syringe with icing you can get lots of swirls out of one syringe, plenty for 6 good rainbow swirls.
This is the perfect present for an unicorn fan this Christmas! Buy yours at all good toy stockists while stocks last.
