As a parent to a tween girl, this ‘The Other Kingdom’ package went down a storm. My daughter Brooke is 11 years old, and loves watching something more ‘grown up’ than the junior programs her preschool sister does, Nickelodeon is a favourite, so finding out there is a brand new show starting, Brooke was super keen to review it.

The Other Kingdom is all based around one girl, Astral, who is a fairy princess. She has to decide between being a fairy princess or becoming human, and only has 90 days to do it. Now this might sound baby-ish to a grown up, but it is beautifully created and the ‘live action’ series is great, a real life feel and grown up vibe, yet at the same time it is age appropriate and is entirely tween friendly too, a great combo! Astral isn’t alone in the series, she enrols into a new school, makes friends and I am sure it will be a great series to follow with twists and turns.

Brooke loved her sneak peek at the first episode which is due to air tomorrow night (Monday 8th August 2016) at 6.30pm, tune in and see what you think! It will be shown weekdays at the same time weekdays, which is a great time of day for tweens. We have been getting our very own summer fairy style…
