Being a mother can seem really glamorous, usually to someone who doesn’t have children themselves. The stark reality of parenthood is often a secret society, no one likes to admit to the reality of the bad bits. This is usually because the good bits of seeing your precious child grow and learn is so amazing that the bad bits leave your head as soon as your baby gives you that little coo, or that big gummy smile. But the reality is that there is many many days that are so far from glamorous, that you begin to wonder what glamorous even is. When little ones are poorly, it can be so hard on a parent. That feeling that you cannot help your baby, you want to take the pain away, soothe them, but it’s just not possible all of the time. Cussons have listened to parents, real parents with real children, and have created this fabulous (and very frank) video.

As a mother it really made me giggle, it shows all the things that are reality in our lives at some point. Sometimes it can be teething issues, or immunisations, maybe even just some germs but all you want to do is settle and soothe your child to sleep. Cussons have created ‘Baby Bath to Comfort’, which contains menthol fragrance to help unblock this little noses, which hopefully in turn will help them to sleep better. I say this as a parent, one who has been through those sleepless nights, those nights when you don’t bother even attempting to go to bed, the ones where you will do ANYTHING to get your child to settle, it really is worth a go.
