Running from the 16th to the 18th of May, The Baby Show hit Birmingham’s NEC. I am a regular at The Baby Shows throughout the country, but I am always just as excited to see what there is to offer.

My companion in tow, was my youngest, Bemma. Chilling in her Stokke Xplory, it was only natural that it was our first port of call when we walked in. I LOVE  the look of the new beige melange textiles, and their ‘all in one fold’ stroller, the Scoot, looks perfect for Bemma! She loved the stand, and the look on her face when she saw the Sleepi cot was brilliant, we have one at home in a different colour….she recognised it and ran for it, but looked a little confused.

Next up was the Fisher Price stand, for the launch of their brand new Jumperoo ‘First Steps’. The Jumperoo has been around 10 years now, and it was a firm favourite with all of my children. It has evolved slightly over the years, but it was hard to see how they could make something so fantastic even better. However, a quick demo of the ‘First Steps Jumperoo’, and you could see that the changes are brilliant ones.

Not only do babies bounce, but now they can move along the frame, helping them to take their first steps. It is height adjustable too, so it grows with your child, and the toys are plentiful to keep your little one entertained. If you haven’t got a Jumperoo for your 6 month old, it is worth every penny and helps wear them out for nap times. You can find out more about the Jumperoo online at: www.fisher-price.com

Cosatto are always a dream to see, and their stand was probably the prettiest there. Complete with amazing staff and an amazing array of pushchairs and carseats, we couldn’t not try out the Ooba for size. The fabric inside the hood is my favourite, it’s easy to push and manoeuvres well. Although I have my eye on a stroller of theirs, the Supa in Pixelate! Lush! If you are in the market for a pushchair that stands out in the crowd, then Cosatto is the place to go.

Panasonic were in attendance, and not only did they give out free ducks, but they were taking photographs of your kiddies. I cannot wait for my Panasonic camera to arrive, I just hope my pictures will be half as good as theirs!

There was plenty more to see, with Sainsburys Little Ones providing nappies in the changing area. Tommee Tippee had a feeding area, which was complete with spoons and pouches of food, there was even Stokke Steps chairs for the little ones to use. Some of the other stands which stood out to me was Waterbabies, a firm favourite of mine. I also bought Bemma some shoes from Dottyfish, which were a steal at £6.50 a pair. It wasn’t all large brands though, there was some smaller brands too which had some new and innovative products that you don’t find on the high street.

Bring on the next Baby Show! It is well worth a trip.
