Technology is important in today’s world, it is being incorporated into our daily lives to help make our lives easier and dare I say it, more organised. There is an app available for almost anything, and I am sure I am not alone when I say that I rely upon technology to remind me of everyday things. Bbut what about our health? Life is so manic that small things that seem trivial, get forgotten about in the hustle of busy life. So when I heard Nestle had come up with a new way of reminding women to self examine their breasts, I had to share it.
Nestle Fitness have come up with something innovative, they have created a Tweeting Bra!
Each time Greek actress Maria Bacodimou unhooks it, it will automatically send a tweet to @tweetingbra, reminding everyone to self examine. Created with a low voltage bluetooth unit in the bra, when unhooked it sends a signal to a mobile phone which then alerts the server which then tweets!
Breast Cancer seems to be everywhere, and there isn’t many people I know who haven’t had a friend or family member battle it. But what is important is catching it as early as possible, it really does help your chances to do something about it. Of course, not all breast lumps are cancerous, some can be there for other reasons, but it really is important that if you find any you get them checked by a doctor. To join simply follow @tweetingbra, follow the hashtag #tweetingbra, and check out more information at tweetingbra.com where you can find out more information on what to look out for while self examining.
