The key to keeping a home as orderly as your family continues to grow is to go step by step. If you start with a massive clear out, and then purge old items as needed, you can keep the house neat and organised for as long as you have a full nest. Still not convinced? It’s better than putting the kids to work. Children can be expensive, so it’s no wonder you’re always looking for ways to make a little extra money. Short of putting the little tykes to work, you can get cash for your old clothes and theirs, too. You can have a garage sale or post high-quality items online for sale to the highest bidder.
You can make space for more. The ultimate goal of any clear out is to free your home of clutter and excess. By sifting through toys and clothing in your kids’ wardrobes and common areas, you can make room for new items or just enjoy having extra space in every nook and corner. Your home might even seem bigger once you get rid of all the items your kids have outgrown.
