Skylanders Giants is my 10 year old sons new favourite Xbox game. If you haven’t seen Skylanders before, then let me tell you exactly what it is…
Skylanders Giants is a computer game, but it has a brilliant twist on the usual game which you watch and play using a controller. It comes with a portal, and also action figures (which are very collectible!). The portal attaches to your console, and the game disc goes into the console as standard, however the portal then lights up and you put the action figure of your choice on the base. This then puts that character into the game for you to use as your character. The characters are easily changed, you simply just remove it and the character disappears. You are free to chop and change them as you wish. Each character has different features, and their own personality.
You get one Giant character in the Starter Pack, and also two normal Skylanders figures too. You can complete the game with just the characters provided, however you can purchase different characters who have different weapons and powers, which enable you to travel though the game again and again. The characters are all completely different, my son is loving picking out which ones he wants to save his pocket money to buy. The fact you can play with the action figures separately is a big appeal too, they are not delicate to the point where you have to worry about them breaking, they are great quality action figures as well as being accessories for the game.
Skylander Giants has the play factor, the collectible factor and appeal to my children brilliantly, I cannot wait to see what they bring out next!
