We are big savoury snackers in our house, so the chance to try out a new addition to the Walkers range is always welcome.

A special parcel arrived, with a very cute monkey and some Roast Beef Baked Hoops and Crosses. Looking at the nutritional values (I am a concerned mummy, as well as a serial dieter) I was pleased to see that in each 18g pack there is just 85 calories, with only 0.27g of salt. On top of that they are a source of wholegrain as they are made with whole grains, they also contain no preservatives or artifical colours.

They have three flavours available, Roast Beef, Prawn Cocktail and Salt and Vinegar. All are suitable for vegetarians too. We tried the Roast Beef flavour. They were a nice taste, not too strong and although I am religiously a ‘ready salted’ gal, I enjoyed these and bought them since. It is reassuring that they have all the above benefits, my children can happily indulge in a bag with their lunch and so can I. There is a decent amount within the bag too, always a winner.
