Megabloks have put a new spin on their range with their new Barbie range. Created for children who love Barbie, there is some brand new bright colourful toys ready to be played with.
We were sent 3 of the new products to test out. My daughter Brooke loves Barbie, but is not usually a fan of construction toys. She prefers to spend her time on craft activities normally. As soon as she saw the Barbie Beach House she was excited that it was Barbie. When I told her it was a set to be built she was enthusiastic that she got to actually create the set herself.
Barbie Megabloks are suitable for children aged 4+. The Build’n Style Beach House comes complete with two figurines, who both have outfits you can change, this includes little skirts! There is spinning dance floor, two rooms and a patio. There is an abundance of decorations that come included so you can put your own stamp on the set.
The instructions were easy to follow, with number and diagrams to help the little people along. Before long Brooke had Barbies Beach House!
Brookes dad was happy to help play with this, where as with normal Barbies he wouldn’t be seen dead playing along. I think there is something about construction that attracts men of all ages, even when the pieces are pink! Brookes brother J was also keen to get involved!

There was nothing about the MegaBloks Barbie sets that Brooke didn’t like, however I wasn’t keen on some of the tiny tiny petals, I can see them liking my hoover! I love that this set helps Brookes concentration, as well as her coordination and problem solving skills. She has no idea she is learning while playing, which is impressive for an 8 year old girl who knows everything. Brooke loves that the sets all go together, you can add to your Barbie sets, with more characters and play sets.
