It’s not often I venture out of the house for a whole day of retail therapy, in fact I cannot remember the last time I did just that! However the weekend that has just passed us by in a blur was the weekend of The Baby Show at Excel in London. I love The Baby Show, and my fantastic Mother in Law agreed to have the three eldest children while I went on a day out to meet some of my friends.
The day started off early, with a 5am feed for baby Emma, I decided I might as well stay awake and do my hair and make up. I can’t remember the last time I even bothered to do that before leaving the house. It is a two and half hour journey from where we live, but early morning there was no traffic and the world flew by. I had tunes on the radio and the baby snoozing away happily beside me.
The show was fantastic, a great chance to catch up with my friends and to spot some great bargains. I bought some gorgeous bandana bibs, and drooled over the lovely Stokke stand where I decided to have a cuppa
It was a brilliant day out, the journey home was a bit longer than expected, but there was no hurry as my Mother in Law had cancelled her planned trip to the Bingo and decided to stay at home and play Golden Bingo from the comfort of her sofa instead. I love my Mother in Law, how many people can say that?
