Now we have had various playhouses before made from plastic poles and material, and the last one my Mother managed to snap (thanks Mum!) but what was special about this one is that the structure is actually made from wood!
It came flat packed, and I decided not to wait until my hubby got home, but assemble it myself…who needs a man?!
So I opened up the box and it looked a little bit daunting…
But never one to turn down a challenge, I set to work with the instructions which are nice and clear.
Getting there…
So how does the frame stay together? Well it simple but very effective. It has wooden poles which have ends like this, they simply slot into the rigid plastic connectors. You can also screw them together once assembled, although I haven’t done this as I am not sure I would fit it out of the playroom door!
Once you have a complete structure, you simple slip the tent over the top…
Ta-da! Marky couldn’t wait to get inside…
There is various windows in the rocket, which enable light to get inside and to let kiddies peek out, or parents peek in!
Despite me not screwing the pieces together, it is really sturdy. The kids ate their lunch inside, and even had story time, in fact it was the quietest I have had them for a long while!
A big thumbs up to the Rocket Play Tent, it is durable, strong and super well made! It will be a firm favourite in our house for many years to come!
