Come on, we all remember the adverts? Ok, in all honesty I am an advert geek, they are the best part of TV for me and since I was just a toddler my parents said I was obsessed with the adverts. There is some very memorable ones which will stick with me and Aquafresh is up there in my top 10!
Aquafresh are evolving though, and it’s not just about singing toothpaste, this time they have produced a video with some handy tips to make brushing time more fun. Why would you want to make brushing time fun? Well we all know it is beneficial to brush our teeth, and also to get the kids into a routine to brush their teeth, but sometimes kids need encouragement. Aquafresh created this video after they conducted research with 1500 mums who had children aged 2-12, it revealed that more than one million under-fives in the UK have at least two fillings!! Some of the other findings from the research includes
-Over half of mothers (53 per cent) admit to finding getting their kids to brush their teeth stressful – potentially leading to arguments in over 2.5 million families
–13 per cent of mums have children who have at least one filling by the time they start school (aged 3)
–One in six (17 per cent) mums say their child has at least 3 fillings
and the most shocking for me is:
-One in fifty mums even admitted that their kids never brush their teeth.
Being a mum myself and knowing how stressful it can be to get kids to brush their teeth, I think it is great to have some fun ways to get kids to brush their teeth, after all us mums will do anything to make life a little easier and keep our children in tip top condition.
