The age of the box is 5+ but opening it up there was lots of bags of pieces.
The instruction booklet is large, but each step is numbered and easy to follow. It is more advanced than what I would say a rival brick building kit for 5 year olds, but it would be perfect for an advanced builder, older child, a teenager and even an adult would enjoy making this.
The bags of bricks included are not numbered, and you don’t work through the bags one at a time, so you do need a fair amount of space to assemble the Dalek Spaceship.
J worked hard for nearly two hours, following each step…
The end result is spectacular. The detail is amazing, there is moving parts inside which make the set come to life. There is a detachable skimmer car, laser cannons, and the best part for J is the transparent dome on the top which you can remove. You get two Daleks included which can be attached to the ship pretty much anywhere.
The Dr Who Dalek Spaceship Set by Character is a must for a Dr Who fan of any age, younger children will be in awe at the completed model with a little help from an older fan, and older fans of all ages will LOVE building it. It is a real collectable item.
