Just a few years ago my children were going made for the interactive ZhuZhu hamsters, and in fact my 2 year old adores them still. But as soon as I saw the ZhuZhu Ponies I knew it would appeal to my 7 year old daughter, Brooke. We were sent a Pony and the ‘Pink Gable Stable’ playset to review.
First up we got out the Gable Stable and I was pleased to see there was none of those dreaded plastic ties in the box.
The Gable Stable was easy to assemble and Brooke could of done it alone once I had opened the box for her.
As you can see there is loads of accessories included. There is 7 pieces of various coloured fencing, the house, an apple tree, apples for the apple tree, a bucket, various items for the garden including cute little carrits and a turnip!
The Pink Gable Stable was then all ready for the new occupant, the ZhuZhu Pony! There is 6 ZhuZhu Ponies to collect, each one with a different design. Complete with long flowing mane and tail, girly pretty colours and accessories including their very own hairbrush, The Pony will have everything a girly girl will love.
Pressing the button on the front of the ZhuZhu Pony it makes noises. Press the button hidden on it’s back and it zooms around.
If the Pony hits a wall or a fence then it simply turns elsewhere and carries on. There is a tilt sensor too, so it will stop working and revert to talk mode if it is tipped up. The sound effects add to the excitement of the Pony, it makes galloping noise and talks ‘neigggghhh’ too. What more could a little girl want from a Pony?
The actual pony is soft although does have hard feet. It is a good size for playing and Brooke can happily ‘feed’ her pony and brush its hair.
As you can see the Pony is happy in her new home! Brooke loves her ZhuZhu Pony and Gable Stable, and although the actual playset doesn’t do anything but contain the horse, it is a great place to keep the Pony and create some more play scenarios. You can buy extra stables and houses, which all join up. So the possibility of having a whole room of these things are very appealing to little girls, including Brooke!
