When we moved into our house in 2008, it was a new build construction. The only paint that the walls had seen was the one coat the builders had slapped up to make it look presentable. I loved the minimalism and saw it as a blank canvas, I had wild dreams for decorating, think scatter cushions with matching vases. My husband however had completely different idea for decorating involved planning the surround sound meticulously. Firstly this meant he has to measure our living room. He then drew a blue print of the room and started looking at what size TV we would need, and to make sure we had maximum positioning in terms of sofa to TV ratio.
With the sofa in place, my hubby turned to Richer Sounds to buy the audio equipment he needed to make our living room into its very own cinema. He picked Richer Sounds because of the fantastic deals they have on lcd tvs, surround sound and the all important Blu Ray players. This is where I came into play. I hold the purse strings for our household , so I worked out a budget which he was shocked at. But then he found out he could have his top notch KEF speakers, his huge 46 inch TV, along with his Blu Ray player and other bits which he is adamant he NEEDS to create the perfect system all from the shop and within his budget too!
So with our cinema style living room complete you would think that my hubby would be content. But no, instead now his next project is the marine fish tank….
Ah, lovely post 🙂
