Last weekend I took my 7 year old daughter to London to see Beauty and the Beast 3d. I don’t mind admitting to you that I was keen to see it too, after all it was my favourite video when I was a child (yes I said video, I am that old). We decided to make a day of it, and went for lunch and a spot of shopping too, well it would be rude not to.

Before the film all the children were treated to some great entertainment. There was face paining, or hand painting if you prefered. Brooke went for Mrs Potts on her hand….as well as a Belle on her face.

There was balloon artists on hand to create the children whatever their imaginations could dream up, there was dinosaurs, flowers, crowns, pigs and even a flower for Brookes hair! There was even a lovely lady making paper flowers for each child.

Settling down to the film, with our 3d glasses, I couldn’t wait to see my favourite childhood film once more.

The film started and I was immediately surprised with the quality of the film. It has been remastered and looks clean and crisp. The graphics are simply amazing. But it’s the same fabulous film, with the same amazing songs which had me singing along.

Beauty and the Beast 3d also features a special première performance of Tangled Ever After 3D. The follow up to Disney’s smash hit and 50th animation, Tangled, picks up with Flynn and Rapunzel as they prepare to get married; this is complicated when cuddly chameleon Pascal and the One-Horse-Police-Force, Maximus accidentally lose the couple’s rings. It was hilarious, and had everybody in stitches.
