>Curry is an absolute favourite in our house, we eat it a couple of times a week and never get bored! But there is nothing better than an expensive authentic takeaway curry rather than the jars of stir in sauce I normally buy. So when The Curry Tailor asked if we would like to try out their curry sauces, I knew I would have a very happy family.
The Spice Tailor has been developed by TV chef and cookery writer Anjum Anand. Each sauce is made fresh in small batches.
I decided to try the Tikka Masala first. The Spice Tailor is different from the stir in jar sauces I normally buy, for a start it doesn’t come in a jar! Included is 3 plastic pouches.
With simple instructions inside you simply..
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and then add first little packey of spices and cook for 20 seconds. The spice mix smells delicious!!
You then add the meat, I used chicken. Brown it for 2 minutes before adding the second packet, the base sauce, let it simmer for 2 more minutes.
Then the last step is to stir in the main sauce and cook for 3-6 minutes or until the meat is cooked.
That’s it! It is ready to serve! My husband likes his with rice…
But I had mine over a jacket potato and it tasted amazing!
So what was the verdict? Superb all round! It was so full of flavour like no jar of sauce I have tasted! Hubby gave it the thumbs up, and trust me he is a hard man to impress. It was a delicious authentic curry, only without the hassle and stress, and without the cost of a takeaway! I really recommend these for a tasty, hassle free curry with plenty of flavour!
