Today was the opening day of The Baby Show at London ExCel. I was lucky to be chosen to be a VIP blogger for the show, which included meeting up with some other lovely bloggers for a day of fun! I thought I would share with you some of the bits on offer at the show, so if you are heading down you will know what to visit. There really is so much to see and do, so I can’t mention it all, and my biggest apologies if I have missed anything off, but here are some of the highlights…
First up we headed to Superdrug on stand L2 to have our eyebrows threaded or our nails painted.
I opted for my eyebrows and I was not disappointed, I am now sporting the neatest brows around! It was completely painless and it was very much needed for my unshapely brows. The lady who done it was so talented, it is the perfect treat for a mum to be, or like me a mum who needs a little bit of TLC. Superdrug also have 25% off all their branded products.
We then went over to Mamas and Papas on stand L50 where I got the chance to play with my all time favourite baby item, pushchairs!
A lovely Mamas and Papas lady gave us an in depth demo of the Mylo, which I am totally in love with! They also have some MASSIVE bean bags on their stand, pop over for a rest! Mamas and Papas have a brilliant competition to win your very own Mylo.
A trip over to Britax and I was in pushchair heaven once more, dribbling after a b-agile and We had an in depth demo of the brand new Trifix car seat, it was great to hear the features and even see a demo of it being installed on a sample car seat.
I also saw the gorgeous Safefix Plus car seat in cow design, my sons nickname is Moomoo, so this would suit him down to a tee! There is loads to see and try out on their stand, even a new baby carrier too. Oh and you can’t miss this handsome chap!
If you are travelling by car then Emmas Diary have a brilliant service, a collect by car service. You can offload all your shopping, or they will even arrange delivery of it for you. You can find them at stand B40. The lovely ladies will also sign you up to Emmas Diary which also means you get entered into a prize draw to win a Birtax pushchair.
You are also sure to see the main stage where there is plenty going on, from fashion shows, to help and advice on all areas of parenting. For the whole timetable simply pick up your free show guide at the entrance. Tomorrow One Born Every Minute midwives will be on stage!
There is also a changing area where nappies and wipes are provided, they provide a really comfortable area to change your baby/toddler in peace.
FisherPrice have sponsored the crèche which is run by Artful Splodgers, it’s available to give your little ones a chance to let off some steam, as well as let you have a sit down and a rest! I took advantage of this last year and it was awesome. You can find them P10 . Why not pop over to N4 where there is a competition to win plenty of FisherPrice toys.
For all your feeding needs for your little ones there is the Tommee Tippee feeding area, with private feeding areas as well as microwaves, bottle warmers, and food provided from Plum, there is plenty of seating to take the load off your feet. Oh and not to mention that Stokke have donated Tripp Trapp highchairs for the little ones to sit in!
If its adult food you are after there is plenty of choice, the central cafe has some yummy goodies on offer to treat yourself to. For something slightly more healthy there is the Pregnacare juice bar, where you can get some gorgeous juice drinks. You can find them at L60. Personally the sweet stall was my favourite!
That’s not to mention all the fabulous shopping there is to be done! There is so many stands offering some gorgeous items, and the best thing is there is plenty of show offers to take advantage of.
There is plenty of big name shops such as Mothercare and Baby Planet, as well as smaller companies who you don’t find on the highstreet.
Buggyaccessories.com have all of their products on show for your to touch, feel and try before buying. This s a collaboration of the wonderful Bundlebean, Buggy Tug, Hamster Bags and the awesome Snoozeshade. They have a whopping 25% off all items on the stand. Plus 20% and free postage for people who can’t make it to the show, simply quote EXCEL20 at the checkout.
To top it all off there is loads of competitions running and some freebies to be had too!
If you are heading down tomorrow or Sunday you are in for an awesome day, just make sure you wear really comfortable shoes! Oh and remember to go up and down both sides of the aisles, or you are sure to miss something fabulous. I had a brilliant day and can’t wait until the next show, who knows, I might even pop down Sunday too!
