>Just a few weeks ago my darling son left an open bottle of fresh pineapple and orange juice inside his car seat, upside down, with the lid open. 200mls of sticky smelly juice soaked through his car seat and drenched my car seat. The smell was reveloting and I have had to get it valeted.
So when Lindam asked if I would like to review a Car Seat Protector, I literally jumped at the chance!
The box arrived and I thought it was rather small, but folded inside was a good quality padded rubber mat that folded out to 49.5cm x 90.2cm! One side of the material was like textured rubber, the other was like a suede material that I certainly didn’t mind being laid on my car seats.
I have half leather sports seats and one of my hates is the indentation marks that car seats leave behind on the leather side bolsters. I was pleased to find that this protector would protect that from happening.
It was easy to fit, you simply lay it down and put your car seat on top, there is no tricky bits to install or fit. The protector is isofix compatible, with spaces for the Isofix lower anchors, It also has seat belt slots. There is a textured surface to the top of the mat, making it non-slip, which I found made my sons seat even more sturdy and in place than just the seat belt alone. It was slim enough not to intrude over to the other rear seats when I tried it, it is perfectly sized.
One of the fantastic features is the built in pocket that hangs down. This is far enough down that Mark can’t get to it, but I can! It is perfect for storing bits and pieces in, like an emergency packet of wipes, toys and the emergency snacks for when we are stuck in traffic! It has velcro bits running along it, so you can use them to seperate the pocket, or unstick them to put something bigger inside.
I love the Lindam Car Seat Protector, I love that it helps keep Mark safe, but at the same time, keeps my car seats protected. I love that the material is waterproof, and should Mark ever decide to leave a bottle of juice open again, I have no fear that it would be easy to clean and would save me expensive valeting costs!!
This is a brilliant simple, yet effective design that I would say is a must!

>It's a good idea to start shopping for a car seat around your sixth to eighth month of pregnancy. That should give you plenty of time to select the right seat.
