My 6 year old daughter is a real book worm. She can read by herself now and she finds books fascinating and great fun.
When I was asked to review a Penwizard personalised book, I was delighted to see how their books really stand out.
On the Penwizard website the first thing you have to do is pick which book you want. I picked a Peppa Pig Birthday book for Brooke, but there is also Star Wars, FiFi, Roary, football, princess stories and lots more characters to chose from. There really is a book for every child on this site. There is many different stories too. I chose Peppa goes to your childs party as it is Brookes birthday in a few weeks.
You then simply click CREATE, to bring up a new screen with details of how to pick the special little details to be included inside the story. This screen is where you choose the details to be included in the book, I found it very straight forward and self explanatory.
Our book asked for Brooke’s age, she will be 7 in a few weeks, it also asked for her last name. When you click if they are a boy or girl, it changes the colour of the book to an appropriate colour.
I had to pick from a selection of hair, skin and eye colour to get Brooke looking just like she does, to feature in the book. It then had the option of adding glasses, Brooke wears glasses so I was glad to see this feature in there. There was also an option of added a personalised message which appears on the first page of the book.
It was straight forward to order, and I couldn’t wait for it to turn up so I could take a peek. I was told my order could take a couple of weeks to arrive.
I was pleased to recieve an email once my book had been dispatched, so I knew it was on my way to me. It was a much quicker timescale than I was expecting. It arrived in a cardboard packaging sleeve that had ‘Please Do Not Bend’ on, and I pleased to see that even after the heavy handling of my postman, it was in perfect condition. I then had to hide in the bathroom to have a peek so Brooke wouldn’t see it!

The quality of the book is brilliant. It is a completely professional book that you would expect to pick up from a book shop. I can’t wait for Brooke to see it and for her to read the front and realise that it’s a book with her starring with Peppa Pig!!

I was absolutely thrilled with the results from Penwizard, I shall be back for more very soon! They would make lovely special gifts for friends and family, as well as for my other children too, who are going to be very jealous. This really is the perfect Christmas or birthday present!
