When I was invited to attend LolliBops secret party last week, I was delighted. I had heard about the Lollibops festival through the power of social media, but I was keen to find out first hand exactly what lollibops festival would entail! The secret party was held in Regents Park, in London. This is the same location where the main event is going to be held on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of August.
The secret party was a small glance at some of the activities that would going on at the main event.
There was story telling inside a massive teepee that engaged even my son who has ADHD and autism (trust me, that is not an easy feat!).There was the Bushcraft Company making some delicious organic treats with the use of a camp fire and Bear nibbles, they even letting the kids join in and help produce some delicious cakes!
There was a play corner for the little ones with lots of toys. There was lots of colouring and craft supplies with pictures of Rastamouse ready to be coloured. There was swing balls and hula hoops. A bubble man who my 8 year old now thinks is the coolest thing ever and wants to be one when he grows up!
There was even a guest star, PEPPA PIG! My 1 year old son, Mark, is Peppa Pig mad and has learnt how to snort like a pig before he can even talk. The look on his face when he saw Peppa Pig waving at him was priceless. There was lots more going on too, including more story telling, a treasure hunt and fun activities.
I got a great insight into what the main Lollibops festival will be like.
Lollibops festival, is a fun, lively festival but aimed specifically for kids. There will be lots going on, with something suitable for everyone under the age of 10.
There will be the famous ‘Rastamouse and da easy crew’, ‘Zingzillas’ and ‘Charlie and Lolas bestest play’ for the pre-schoolers.
Waybuloo, baby loves disco, gymboree and baby sensory for the tiny visitors. Horrible histories, Roald Dahl museum and storytelling centre and Tottenham football club to name just a few for the older ones. You really do have to read the whole line up to see just how much is going on.
I have 3 children. Jordan aged 8, Brooke aged 6 and Mark aged 1. Finding something that is suitable for all of them at the same time is really hard, but LolliBop has cracked it! There is going to be a hive of activities going on, there will most defiantly be something for everyone all under one roof.
One of the major attractions to me, as a mummy on a budget, is that there is no hidden costs like you get with a lot of days out. You pay the ticket price and you have use of all the facilities. Even the face painting is free unlike any other day out I have attended! Also £1 from each ticket will be donated to Oxfam, so coming to LolliBops you are also doing your bit for charity too.
We had a fabulous day out at LolliBops secret party, one that the kids will remember for a long time to come. I can’t wait for LolliBops festival main event in August and I know my kids can’t either!
Here is my kiddies leaving Regents Park, note Mark in his buggy wiped out after a fun filled day!
