I was really surprised at the size of the package. It was a lot smaller than I had imagined. It does take a little bit of assembling before first use, so I definitely recommend trying it out at home first to make sure its ready for your child to go in when you are out and about. But once it is done, then you are ready to go.
The Hi-Seat portable booster is really lightweight and I easily managed to carry it with just one finger whilst carrying Mark, his changing bag and his blanket. It has a handy part on the top which is like a carry handle.
As you open the Hi seat booster up there are two orange parts which you connect to form a tray that can be joined to the seat. I think this would be great for playing with toys, eating and even colouring. Marky was very comfortable in the his seat even with the tray across him. The tray is also very easy to clean, with no corners for food to get stuck in. It cleans up brilliantly.
The Hi-Seat booster attaches to most dining chairs. It has two straps, one that goes around the back of the chair it is on, and one that goes underneath the seat part of the chair. The straps are completely adjustable so will fit many different chairs. I have no worries that it wouldn’t fit any chair found in a restaurant.
The restraint straps keep Marky comfortable yet secure. The fastenings are easy to use and are Marky proof! They are easily adjustable.
You can chose to have the Hi-Seat portable booster at two different heights, this is a great idea as you can change it as your child grows. We chose to put ours at the highest seat height as our table is quite high. As your child grows, you can even take off the back rest, making it just into a booster seat alone. This is a product that would last years and grow with your child.
We have been using the Hi-Seat portable booster to take to the grandparents so Mark can join in with our Sunday dinners. I will be taking this with us when we go on holiday so Mark can join in with our meals out. It is great for his social skills to be sat at the table with us as a family. I love the fact that Mark is no longer left in a highchair at the side of the table, he is there with the rest of us joining in the fun.
The Hi-Seat portable booster all packs away easily into a little case that is ready to take with you anywhere. It takes up no room at all in the car, it can even be squeezed into my changing bag!
This is a great buy, one you can use at home and when our and about! It will last your child years and ‘grows’ with them. It is a travelling must have.
The Hi-Seat portable booster seat is available to buy for just £24.95 from icbaby.com. If you use the promotional code BLOGBYBABY when ordering, icbaby will include a free gift with each order!
