I will be honest, I am struggling to come to terms with using reusable nappies, but I am desperate to crack it and make it part of my routine ready for when my new baby arrives in November. So when gNappies kindly sent us a sample of their gPant, I was more than happy to give it a try and see if it makes life any easier than the other 2 piece reusable nappies I have been trying.
gNappies are different from the average reusable nappy, and getting my hands on them it was clear just how different. Firstly there is a an outer. The outer is high quality cotton like, but with elastic and velcro to give it a luxurious feel. This is actually 92% cotton and 8% spandex. These are available in a variety of different sizes and colours.
I tried out the gCloth inserts, and have found washing them easy. They wash up lovely, and although they look a bit battered when they come out of the washing machine, but they soon fluff up while drying. Best of all they have absorbed everything Mark can hit it with. We have had no leaks at all with the gNappies. I am unsure if it’s because of the absorbancy of the gCloth, if it’s the nylon liner or even the gPant that fits so snug that no leaks can occur, maybe it’s a combination of all three? Either way, I am a happy bunny with my gNappies and plan to invest in more for the new baby.
