Both my boys love Transformers, the films are always action packed and as an adult they are totally enjoyable for me too. So when Bumblebee RC car turned up for them to play with, it was a mad dash to find the batteries and get started.
Bumblebee is an impressive size, at 40cms, and the actual car is really surprisingly lightweight. The body of the car is one piece, so no parts can get broken off easily and lost.
The remote that comes included is a good size, great for little hands and the controls are kid friendly. You hold the controller in your hand and just press the trigger to send the car forwards, or push it outwards to reverse, you use the wheel on the side of the remote to turn the car in whatever direction you want.
The car is easy to move but we have found the steering a bit all or nothing, you turn the wheel to turn the car wheels and they full lock on, you can’t turn a little bit. But that hasn’t been an issue for my boys who love making it spin.
The actual car is an impressive replica of the original Bumblebee from the Transformers films, and although it doesn’t transform, it still has the wow factor for a Transformers fan.
It has been great fun playing with the RC Bumblebee, the boys have loved racing it around the house and even our street. We have tried it on many different floor types, and they have all been OK, this includes rough pavements, carpet rug and laminate and wood flooring. It seems to grip easily to any surface.
