It can seem a daunting prospect sometimes, taking little people out to have dinner can end in tears…and that’s just the parents. I try to avoid such occasions, unless I know the place is child friendly. When I heard that Crayola have teamed with Zizzi, by making their Twistables available in their restaurants, I knew it was worth a visit, even a visit with the little people.

Arriving at our local Zizzi, we were welcomed to a table. The table had plenty of space around it, which was reassuring as my 11 year old doesn’t do sitting still very well (ADHD…and Autism).

On the table was pots of Crayola Twistables, paper hats, colouring menus and stickers galore. The great thing about having Crayola Twistables, rather than your average crayons, is that you get bright colours, but none of the snapping or needing to be sharpened, you simply twist the end to get more of the crayon out. Perfect!

The children loved being able to pick what they wanted off the Bambini menu, and there is loads of choice on there. For £6.75 you get a starter of dough sticks, carrot sticks and cucumber sticks, all serves in a very cool little tin. These were great for all the children, toddlers will love having their very own pot, and the healthy nibbles are a winner.

For mains you get to choose from a pasta dish with a range of sauces, all very child friendly for even fussy eaters. Or a pizza! Jordan chose a pizza, and picked his favourite toppings. There is even an option to decorate your own Pizza!

Dessert was no let down, with a choice of ice cream flavours, some sorbet or even create your own Ice cream cones, which come with cones and your very own pot of popping candy.

To top it off, you also get a chocacino included too, so the little people really feel like they are part of the whole meal.

But, that’s not all…while the children tuck into great food, the food for the adults is pretty awesome too. I sampled some of it, and it was most delicious! And yes, that is dessert Pizza….topped with marshmallows, strawberries and chocolate sauce! Yum!

So if you are looking for somewhere special to go for a lovely meal, with good quality food and entertainment for the children too….Zizzi is worth a visit. We loved it, and I will definitely be returning.
